Infant Program
Story Book House is licensed for a maximum of 10 infants (6 weeks-12 months) with a state mandated ratio of I staff member to 5 infants. During peak hours of the day we try to maintain a higher ratio of 1-3.
Our infant teachers strive to provide physical, social, emotional, and cognitive developmental skills to each child. There may be a variety of ages and stages in this room and this is taken into consideration when planning each day.
Each infant has his/her own crib which is sanitized daily. All bed linens are changed daily, or more often if necessary. The sleeping area is kept separate from the play space. Our play area has a variety of age appropriate and developmentally appropriate toys. Infants are never placed in their cribs with a bottle, and bottles are never propped! Our room is equipped with high chairs and infant seats for feeding. These are also sanitized after each use.
